Cognitive Psychology – Concepts of Memory, Learning and Thinking

Cognitive psychology is concerned with the principles of human “thinking” and the development of our cognitive capabilities. Items such as creative thinking, memory and learning are aspects of human thought that cognitive psychologists are interested in studying. Technically speaking, cognitive psychology is the study of mental skills, and cognitive development is concerned with the building and changing of these skills over time and with experience.

Cognitive Therapies:
There exist several therapies that utilize the capabilities of the mind and its way of thinking in order to treat certain problems. See the section of Counseling therapy for more information.
